International Development Water Project (IDWP) is a 501 C iii non-profit organization located in Minnesota, USA. It strives to bring relief, hope, and quench the thirst for clean and safe drinking water of rural dwellers in Liberia. Please note that any financial or in-kind donation made to IDWP is non taxable.

The need for clean and safe drinking water in Africa, especially Liberia is essential due to the destruction of its infrastructure after more than 14 years of civil war.

The idea behind this organization and project was initiated by Otis H. Gardiner who hails from Liberia and resides in the State of Minnesota, USA. Gardiner saw the need to establish this entity as a means to provide clean and safe drinking water to the people of Liberia while working on his Project Management capstone at St. Mary's University in 2007.
